Peacefully at University hospital on May 8, 2016, in his 89th year. Predeceased by his wife Violet. Father of Gary and his wife Marilyn; Neil and his wife Diana; Lynn and her husband Doug; and Kim and her husband Gerry. Grandfather to Michelle, Jonathan, Darik, Kristen, Rachel, Melissa, Heather and Jennifer. Great grandfather to Megan. Predeceased by his brother Keith and his sister Lois. The family sincerely thanks the McCormick Home Nurses and staff as well as the nurses and staff on the 4th and 10th floors at University Hospital for their compassion and tender care of Dad over the past few years. Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1997 Dundas St. E. (at Wavell) on Wednesday May 11, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 5:30- 7:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow in the chapel at 7:00 pm. A private family burial to take place at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
