O’REILLY, William (“Bill”) Herbert – Bill passed away on July 9, 2015 at University Hospital, London, in his 83rd year. While always a gentleman, he did “not go gentle into that good night”, but bravely fought the cancer to which he finally succumbed. Bill started his career in St Catharines but spent most of his working life as a design engineer at Westinghouse in London. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Janice Rae O’Reilly (Sutherland), just nine months ago, and his parents Herbert and Pearl O’Reilly (McCutcheon). Bill was the loving brother of Eleanor Greer, and the cherished and respected father of Rick O’Reilly and his wife Marion, James O’Reilly and his partner Katherine, Brenda O’Reilly-Brunelle and her husband Russell, and proud grandfather of Christopher (Stephanie), Jaime (Andy), Lesley, Erin (Shane), Sean (Julianne), Luke, Sara (Andre), Robin, Bradley and Travis (Alexia), and great-grandfather of Hayden, Ryleigh, Emmalee, Nolan, Ethan and Adam. He will be sadly missed by his loyal pets, Wilson and Katie. The family will receive Bill’s friends from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015 at FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London. The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Siloam United Church or to the charity of choice. Online condolences accepted at www.forestlawnmemorial.ca
