<div itemprop="description"><br>Code, Doris<br>Doris was born April 20, 1932 to a family of thirteen in Theodore, SK. Passed away November 1, 2016 in London, Ontario. She attended Poplar leaf school for her elementary education and Theodore High School to complete her high school education. Beyond high school she attempted nurse's training in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba and at the same time worked got the Royal Canadian Air Force. Doris then headed further east to London, ON where she worked at a match factory and at the same time joined the Navy ad a reservist. She met Douglas Code and in 1970 they were married in Yorkton, SK. Doris and Douglas (Chuck) enjoyed 42 years of married life in London, ON and Skiing in the Laurentians in Quebec as well as Switzerland. Doris was predeceased by her husband Douglas Code (Chuck) in 2013, her father Stefan Korolek in 1967, her mother Patty Korolek in 1987, her sisters Helen 1958, Kay 1997, Iris 2003, Elsie 2014, her brothers Andy 1969, Nick 1982, Willie1987 and John 1996. She is survived by her sisters Mary of Yorkton, SK, Rose of Spruce Grove AB, Anne of Yorkton SK and brother Matt (Gerda) of Prince George B. C. and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express sincere and special thanks to all of the caring staff at Mount Hope for long term care who made her stay extremely enjoyable for her the last three years, and a very special thank you to the team that attended to Doris's final care for her medical needs at the University hospital in London, ON. Cremation will take place and a Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery 1997 Dundas St. E. (at Wavell) on Monday November 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Children’s Health Foundation.<br></div>
