Passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday January 20th, 2016 at Dearness Nursing Home in her 99th year. Beloved wife of her late husband Vincent Williams (1967); loving mother of daughters Etta (Gary), Marilyn (Wayne), and Mona (Peter); cherished grandmother to Shelley (Bob), Craig (Tess), Mark (Alice), Tammy (Lee), Andrew, and Carolyn (Jeff), and great-grandmother (Gigi) to Jade, Kanoa, Ciara, Tai, Hoku, Parker, Amanda, Seth, Mikayla, Dallas,and Denver; treasured aunt, sister-in-law and friend. Her kindness and smile will be missed by many. She was a stalwart member of the Elm Street United Church for over 60 years, as well as The Mariner’s Club, Women’s Lodge and Home and School. She was known for her love of family, faithful friendships, her incredible memory and command of language, creative abilities, generous spirit, and willingness for hard work. A private graveside service has been held, with a memorial service to be held on her birthday at Elm Street United Church, 11 Elm St, St. Catharines ON on March 26, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society (Newfoundland), Elm Street United Church, or the Dearness Home Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated by the family.
