Jennings, James "Jim"

With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jim Jennings in his 71st year, on June 30th 2016. In their 50th year of marriage his wife Barbara (Blackmore) was at his side. She will be missing her best friend and the love of her life. His greatest joy was his three daughters and their families; Babette & Carlos (Oliveira), Brigette & Brent (Statchuk), Belinda and Eddie (Alves), and his seven grandchildren, Caley, Carlen and Camryn (Oliveira), Kelsey and Makenzie (Statchuk), Ayla and Aiden (Alves). Survived by brothers Basil, Merle (Susan) and sister Ann (Dave Hogan). Predeceased by his parents Richard & Ruby (Henderson) and his brother Aubrey. Loved by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was an employee of Coca-Cola for 43 1/2 years, and a proud collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. He also enjoyed spending time with family and his close friends. Jim was recognized and respected for his family values, sense of humour, his playful nature, love of music, loyalty to the Toronto Maple Leafs, enjoying the outdoors and road trips. A Memorial Service will be held in Jim’s honour on Saturday July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 1997 Dundas Street East, London. An hour of Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jim are asked to consider The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
