Ernest Durocher
April 23, 1933 - October 12, 2014
81, died suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2014 while visiting his daughter, Donna and family, in Calgary Alberta. He leaves his dear wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Liz) Durocher; their sons, Ernie Jr. (Ruth-Anne) and Dan (Carolyn), and daughters, Rose (Mike), Jackie and Donna (Mark). He will be greatly missed by his wife, children and grandchildren (Andrew, Alanna, Kyle, Ryan, Cory, Dylan, Mitchell, Ben, Zack, Alex, Easton, Declan), great-grand-daughter Natalie, all extended family (including his siblings: John, Sandy, RoseMarie, Digger, Vince and Liz’s siblings: Lena and Adam) and many close friends. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, the son of Louis and Laurentian Durocher. Ernie led a full life, living in many different cities where he was well loved by all that he met. The mischievous twinkle in his eye and his robust laughter will be missed by all. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, Ernie took great joy in his retirement years pursuing the simple life of gardening and enjoying time with his family. Visitors will be received 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday Oct.17th at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell) London, 519-455-9343, with prayers to be celebrated at 3:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London on Saturday Oct 18th at 10 o’clock. Internment in St. Peter’s Cemetery
